I Simulated Tennessee-Oklahoma on the College Football 26 Video Game

We’re just days from Tennessee football and Oklahoma meeting on the gridiron for the Vols’ return to Neyland Stadium. Ahead of the real-life meeting, I fired up the College Football 26 video game to simulate the matchup in Lexington.

The result was a down-to-the-wire win for Tennessee, with a heroic play from Star Thomas. We’ll see how accurate the video game version is when UT meets the Sooners on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Knoxville. The game will air on ABC.

Here are the full results and stats of the simulation:

I was asked about the settings I use for the simulations. My game is on Heisman difficulty with 15-minute quarters, no accelerated clock and even teams ‘off’. I put the correct team at home and match the time of the game up to the best choice possible. I don’t control either team, bench players we know will be inactive and then let it play out once and the results are as follows.
