Tennessee football will be back inside Neyland Stadium to square off with Oklahoma tomorrow night. The Vols and Sooners will meet in Knoxville at 7:30 p.m. ET with the game airing on ABC.

Before kick-off, I dove into the numbers, with the help of UT’s game notes, to get a better look at what to expect in the game.

Here are three numbers to keep in mind as you’re watching the matchup.

201

The most passing yards from a Tennessee quarterback against Oklahoma was just 201. That mark was set by Justin Worley in 2014. So far, between his time at App State and UT, Vols quarterback Joey Aguilar has gone over that mark in each of his FBS starts. While there isn’t a rich history between the programs, he could put his name in the school record book.

That’s not the only record vs. Oklahoma that could be broken. No Tennessee quarterback has thrown more than one touchdown in a game. The most rushing yards against the Sooners by a Vol is 109 by Jalen Hurd in 2015. None has rushed for more than one score.

Through the air, the most receiving yards were from Bru McCoy a year ago, when he notched 92 yards. No receiver has caught more than one touchdown.

14

Tennessee has forced 14 turnovers this year. This is the No. 1 mark in the SEC and No. 16 across the country. The ability to come up with interceptions and force fumbles has been a key to multiple wins for the Vols this year.

On the other sideline, Oklahoma has turned the ball over 10 times, which ranks 11th in the SEC and 73rd in the country. Recent turnover struggles from John Mateer could be taken advantage of on Saturday to help the defense get off the field.

Tennessee’s offense has also turned the ball over 10 times, tying OU for 11th in the conference and 73rd in the country. However, the Sooners’ defense doesn’t force many. They’ve only come up with four, good for last in the SEC and 130th in the country.

This year, Aguilar has connected on passes of more than 50 yards 7 times. This is good for an SEC-high and tied for the second-most in the country. A year ago, Tennessee had just six passes of more than 50 yards. Aguilar has already topped the mark.

He’s also hit on multiple plays of more than 70 yards down the field. No other player in the SEC has completed more than one of these passes.

Aguilar ranks in the top 20 nationally in total offense (13th – 304.4), passing touchdowns (11th – 18), passing yards per game (eighth – 293.0), passing yards per completion (11th – 14.12), passing efficiency (14th – 162.8), passing yards (fourth – 2,344) and points responsible for (16th – 120).
