Tennessee football is putting together an elite 2026 class, but there are a few holes it still needs to fill. Well, on Sunday, the Vols found a solution for one of the gaps. Three-star tight end Luca Wolf announced he is flipping his commitment from Cal to Tennessee to fill the void in UT’s class.
Wolf stands at 6-foot-5 and is from London, England. He plays for NFL Academy. As a three-star, he is considered the No. 76 tight end and No. 3 player from England by 247 composite rankings. It also has him as the No. 1,353 player in the cycle.
Tennessee has been a recent team involved in his recruitment, as well. The Vols, led by tight ends coach Alec Abeln, only offered him on Oct. 8 of this year. However, Tennessee managed to get him to campus for an official visit this Saturday for its game against Oklahoma. Wolf clearly saw what he wanted to on the trip and committed shortly after.
Wolf had previously been committed to Cal since June 12. He took an official visit there the week prior, after picking up his offer on May 2.

This is now the second commitment of the day for Josh Heupel’s program. Earlier today, Tennessee picked up 2027 four-star offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo. He is an in-state prospect from Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, TN. The 6-foot-6, 316-pound offensive tackle is one of the top players in the class and at his position, and could see a rise up the rankings as the cycle continues forward.
According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Uwaifo ranks as the No. 123 player in the class, the No. 13 offensive tackle in the cycle, and the No. 5 player from the state of Tennessee.
Tennessee’s 2026 class ranks as the No. 4 group in the country, according to 247. This is behind just USC, Alabama and Texas A&M.
