The Tennessee Volunteers return to action this weekend following a loss to Oklahoma and an open date over the last two weeks. While the Vols’ playoff chances might have cratered with the loss to the Sooners, there’s still a lot on the line for Tennessee to play for with critical rivalry games to close the season against Florida and Vanderbilt. The Vols will look to get back on track this weekend, starting with the New Mexico State Aggies.
Tennessee will welcome New Mexico State to Neyland Stadium for the first time in program history this weekend. The Volunteers and the Aggies have never squared off, making this the first meeting between the two teams.
Tennessee enters the game as a massive favorite according to the betting markets, so fans will likely see a good rotation of players throughout the game as the Vols gear up for the final SEC stretch in the regular season. Still, though, it’s a great opportunity to re-grease the wheels and get back in the winning column before a trip to Gainesville next weekend.
