Tennessee football is one of the remaining dozen schools that are still in the mix for four-star edge rusher recruit Rashad Streets. He is down to UT, Oregon, Clemson, Michigan, Nebraska, NC State, Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida State and Georgia, according to Hayes Fawcett.
Streets is considered the No. 59 player in the country in the 2027 class on Rivals. He is the No. 10 edge rusher and No. 4 player out of North Carolina, according to the recruiting service, as well. He plays for Millbrooks in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Streets picked up his offer from the Vols in January of 2025. This made Tennessee one of the first Power Four schools in the mix for him. Since then, UT has been consistent in its recruitment, bringing him to campus multiple times.
Most recently, Streets was in Knoxville for Tennessee’s loss to Georgia. Despite the overtime loss on the field, the visit left lasting effects on a number of top recruits across the country. He also took unofficial visits in March and May of this year.

The Vols recently landed a near-top-100 recruit in the 2027 class in offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo. He is Tennessee’s third and highest-ranked commitment to the 2027 class. He sits alongside three-star linebacker JP Peace, who committed back in June, and three-star cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, who committed in mid-October.
Uwaifo’s commitment also sent Tennessee a good bit up the early recruiting rankings, with the Vols moving to No. 16 in 247’s team rankings.
There is currently no timeline on Streets’ commitment, but earning a spot in this top schools list is a great sign going forward.
