Tennessee football heads on the road for one final time in the 2025 season Saturday as the Vols head to Gainesville to face Florida in a rivalry showdown. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe are on the call for ABC. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET.

It’s the third Tennessee game that ABC’s top broadcasting crew has announced this season. They’ve also broadcasted the Vols’ losses against Georgia and Oklahoma.

The rivalry showdown is Tennessee’s fourth night game of the season with all four games coming in its last five. Tennessee previously played road night games at Alabama and Kentucky while facing Oklahoma at Neyland Stadium at night.

Tennessee has played five afternoon games this season including against ETSU, Georgia, Mississippi State, Arkansas and New Mexico State. The Vols’ two noon games came against Syracuse and UAB.

The Vols enter the matchup boasting a 7-3 (3-3 SEC) record this season. Tennessee’s College Football Playoff dreams died three weeks ago in its loss against Oklahoma. The Vols responded with a lackluster win against New Mexico State last week.

While Tennessee’s playoff hopes are all but over, Josh Heupel’s squad still has plenty to play for this season. The Vols are looking for their first win in Gainesville since 2003 and to win the final meeting against Florida before the two rivals play every other season instead of every season.

If there was ever a season for Tennessee to end its losing streak in Gainesville, it is this one. Florida is 3-7 (2-5 SEC) this season and has already fired head coach Billy Napier. The Gators two SEC wins came at home, beating both Mississippi State and Texas at the Swamp.

Tennessee is currently 3.5-point favorites against Florida according to the DKSportsbook. The over/under is set at 57.5.

Florida holds a 32-22 advantage all-time in the rivalry series. Tennessee won the last meeting, knocking off Florida 23-17 in overtime in Knoxville last season.
