As Tennessee football wraps up a fantastic 2026 recruiting cycle with signing day just around the corner, the Vols are also in position to do some damage in the 2027 class. One name to know going forward is four-star safety Jerry Outhouse Jr.

Outhouse released his list of 10 schools he will be focused on going forward. According to Hayes Fawcett, that will be UT, Nebraska, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Michigan, Arizona State, SMU and TCU.

Outhouse is ranked as the No. 116 player in the class, via 247 composite ratings. That’s good for the No. 11 safety and No. 16 player out of Texas. He currently plays for North Crowley in Fort Worth, Texas.

The defensive back took a visit to Knoxville in May of 2025. He left with his offer from the Vols.

Currently, Tennessee holds three commitments in the 2027 class. This is headlined by the most recent addition, offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo. He is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and is considered a four-star and No. 110 recruit in the country by 247. This is good for No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 6 in the state.

UT also holds the commitments from a pair of three-star defenders. Legacy recruit JP Peace, the grandson of Phillip Fulmer and son of Robert Peace, and cornerback Kamauri Whitfield are both already in the boat.

Tennessee is in good standing for multiple other top targets, as well. As the 2026 class comes to an end, the Vols have been placed in nearly countless top schools lists for the best prospect around the country.
