Tennessee football has landed another strong piece to its 2027 recruiting class. The Vols picked up the commitment of four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife on Friday, according to Hayes Fawcett.

Fife picked Tennessee over the likes of Auburn, Texas A&M and Georgia Tech. He was just in Knoxville this past weekend, though, for a game day visit to see the Vols hammer New Mexico State in a 42-9 win.

Fife is considered the No. 269 player in the 2027 class, according to 247 composite rankings. He is the No. 31 defensive lineman and No. 32 player out of the state of Georgia. He currently plays for Chattooga in Summerville, Georgia.

Fife’s primary recruiter is Rodney Garner. The legendary defensive line coach has been at Tennessee since Josh Heupel got to Knoxville in 2021. He’s been known for his ability to reel in top recruiting targets and develop them into NFL talents throughout his career.

This is now the fourth commitment in the 2027 class for Tennessee. According to 247 composite ratings, that’s good for the No. 13 group in the country. However, UT is still in good standing for multiple other top recruits in the class.

The 2027 commitment class for the Vols is headlined by the most recent addition, offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo. He is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and is considered a four-star and No. 110 recruit in the country by 247. This is good for No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 6 in the state.

UT also holds the commitments from a pair of three-star defenders. Legacy recruit JP Peace, the grandson of Phillip Fulmer and son of Robert Peace, and cornerback Kamauri Whitfield are both already in the boat.

In the 2026 class, which is not quite wrapped up just yet, Tennessee landed four-star defensive lineman Dereon Albert and three-stars Kedric Golston and Darryl Rivers. The Vols also hold commitments from a group of elite edge rushers in the cycle.
