Tennessee football fans may feel uneasy about the Vols’ chances to snap the streak in Gainesville, but Florida legend Tim Tebow and the rest of the SEC Nation staff aren’t worried. The crew logged predictions for a clean sweep in favor of the Vols, featuring selections from Tebow, Jordan Rodgers, Roman Harper and UT alum Paul Finebaum.

ESPN’s College GameDay interestingly did not pick the game despite the national attention on the rivalry. It will air on ABC in the 7:30 p.m. ET window, one of the most coveted spots in the sport.

Other notable media members to pick Tennessee to win include CBS Sports’ Chip Patterson, Brandon Marcello, John Talty, David Cobb, Brad Crawford and Chris Hummer, along with On3’s Zak Herbstreit and J.D. Pickell. On Florida’s side include CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli and Richard Johnson, along with Action Network’s John Feltman picking the Gators to cover the four-point spread as an underdog.

Tebow played at Florida from 2006-09, becoming one of the most celebrated quarterbacks in college football history. He won the BCS National Championship in 2006 and 2008 and was the Heisman Trophy winner in 2007.

For his play, he was selected in the first round of the 2010 draft with the 25th overall selection by the Denver Broncos. He played there for two seasons before he was replaced by Peyton Manning in Denver and traded to the New York Jets. He stuck just one year there before bouncing around practice squads, including a stint in 2021 as a tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also spent time as a minor league baseball player.

During his stint with the Gators in Gainesville, current interim Florida head coach Billy Gonzales was on the staff as a wide receivers coach, and later a recruiting coordinator the latter half.
