Lady Vols basketball transfer guard Nya Robertson has rewritten the Tennessee record books. Her 10 3-pointers made performance in the 88-35 win over Coppin State is a new program record for an individual game. This tops the mark of nine set by Samara Spencer last season in the win over North Carolina Central.

Robertson finished with 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field and 10-of-16 from three. She also contributed three rebounds, one assist, three steals and a block. This was good for a plus/minus of +40 in 27 minutes on the floor.

As a team, Tennessee shot 14-of-40 from range. When factoring out what Robertson did, the Lady Vols shot just 4-of-24 from three.

On the season, Robertson was averaging 7.4 points per game on 32.5% shooting from the field and 20.8% on 3-pointers heading into the game. This came in five appearances and three starts. She also started her fourth contest in the record-setting win over CSU.

Robertson also has contributed an average of 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals per game heading into her monster game on Sunday.

Prior to her time at Tennessee, Robertson played one season at SMU. There, she averaged 18.5 points per game as the go-to option for the Mustangs. This came on 32.5% shooting from the field and 31.2% from distance. That was her second stop in college, though. Before SMU, she spent a pair at George Washington.

Her time at GW is where she initially was connected with Lady Vols assistant coach Gabe Lazo. Years later, Lazo landed the job at Tennessee and was able to recruit her to join Kim Caldwell’s second team at the prestigious program.
