Tennessee and Vanderbilt will clash in an in-state rivalry contest to end the 2025 regular season on Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium. Diego Pavia will lead the Commodores’ best team in program history into Knoxville with a potential resume-boosting win on the line. Joey Aguilar, meanwhile, will try to cap off a memorable season in Knoxville by beating Vanderbilt and ending their playoff hopes.

Saturday’s contest will represent the 119th meeting between in-state rivals Tennessee and Vanderbilt. The series dates back to 1892, and the opponents separated by just 180 miles have played every year since 1945.

Vanderbilt dominated the early series history from 1892 to 1926, but it’s pretty much been Tennessee by a landslide for the last 100 years. The Volunteers count the series at 81-32-5 in their favor.
