SEC Nation is set to bring a celebrity Vanderbilt superfan to the show taking place on Saturday in Knoxville. According to a post from SEC Network on social media, famous comedian Nate Bargatze will be a guest on SEC Nation on Saturday morning.
Bargatze, a Nashville native and resident, was a College GameDay guest picked for the Week 9 matchup between Vanderbilt and Missouri from Nashville.
He’ll now be a special guest for the road team for the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game Saturday on Rocky Top.

Users on social media have mixed reactions to the news. Some are excited to see a popular celebrity such as Bargatze on the Vols’ campus (or on their television screen).
Others, though, aren’t thrilled about SEC Nation bringing a guest for the visiting team instead of someone for the home team.
“You bring a Vandy fan on in Knoxville? That’s certainly a choice,” one user commented.
Another believes that it may just be part of a larger Saturday conspiracy for the Southeastern Conference.
“Vandy alum Jordan Rodgers calling the game. Vandy fan Nate Bargatze as the SEC Nation guest – in Knoxville. It’s pretty clear who the league wants to win this game. I can’t wait to see what officiating atrocities are in store for us,” one user wrote online.
Bargatze is a famous comedian with his own specials on Netflix, and someone who is enjoyed around the Volunteer State. His “Big Dumb Eyes” comedy tour is coming to Knoxville’s Food City Center in late January, after all. But on a college football Saturday? When it’s a rivalry game as big as this one is? That certainly might ruffle some feathers as team battle lines are drawn.
If Tennessee fans want to see one of their own on Saturday, though, they should tune in at 11:00 a.m. ET to see UT head coach Josh Heupel.
SEC Nation will take place on Tennessee’s campus from 10 a.m. ET to Noon on Saturday. No. 19 Tennessee will then host No. 14 Vanderbilt at 3:30 p.m. ET inside Neyland Stadium.
Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider throughout the contest for live coverage of the game.
