Tennessee football is set to lose its second defensive lineman of the day to the transfer portal. Redshirt freshman LEO Kellen Lindstrom plans to enter the portal once it opens, according to On3.
Lindstrom joins defensive tackle Jamal Wallace as players to enter the portal since the conclusion of the regular season on Saturday. Both defensive linemen just concluded their second seasons in Knoxville as deep rotational pieces that saw inconsistent playtime.
In the final stanza of the season, Tennessee also lost defensive back Boo Carter to the portal. A messy offseason after expectations bloomed doomed his relationship with the program, and it got to the point where the two had to part ways before the end of the year.

Lindstrom appeared in three games this season for Tennessee. He recorded two tackles in this time. He was behind a strong trio at the position of Joshua Josephs, Caleb Herring and Jordan Ross. However, even without Ross for the season finale, Lindstrom did not see the field.
As a true freshman in 2024, Lindstrom also played in three games. That year, he managed four tackles.
Out of high school, Lindstrom was named a four-star recruit by Rivals and On3 and a three-star by 247 and ESPN. Both Rivals and On3 had him ranked as a top-300 player in the 2024 class, as well.
Lindstrom is from Springfield, Missouri. He stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 240 pounds. He was named to the 2024 Fall Academic Honor Roll. A Missouri native, his father, Greg, and grandfather played baseball at Missouri. His uncle was a football player for the Tigers, as well.
