You don’t have to wait too much longer until you can officially start marking your calendar for next fall. According to a report from On3’s Brett McMurphy, the conference slates of game days will be revealed on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
Game times and TV designations will not be revealed until closer to kickoff, though. The league first decides on windows that games can be played in, then the official designations are announced.
The league will move to nine SEC games starting next season. Each team has three annual rivals, with the other six being played every other year at an alternating site. This means every four years, each program will have played a home and away game against every other team in the conference.
There will be no divisions, which were abolished before the 2024 season due to the addition of Oklahoma and Texas. The two top teams in the conference are placed in the SEC Championship game. The date of the title game is yet to be released, but it will be held in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta due to a contract that runs through 2026.

Tennessee already knows its nine SEC opponents that it will face during the 2026 slate of games. The Vols will play Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU and Texas at home. On the road, Tennessee will play Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
The annual three opponents for the Vols are Alabama, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
The out-of-conference games on UT’s slate for 2026 are Furman (Sept. 5), Georgia Tech (Sept. 12) and Kennesaw State (Sept. 19). Unless Tennessee has a Week 0 game with an SEC foe, this means it’ll be nine-straight conference clashes to finish out the season.
