Ahead of Georgia and Alabama football meeting in the SEC Championship in Atlanta, 16 legends across the SEC are getting recognized during the lead-up to the game.
For Tennessee, it’ll be Kevin Burnett being recognized. He played for UT as a linebacker from 2000-04, where he played his way into a pair of All-SEC and an All-American nods. As a senior, he earned 120 tackles, six tackles for loss, a pick and an interception.
Burnett was drafted with the 42nd overall pick in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He played there until 2008, when he signed with the San Diego Chargers as a free agent. In 2011, he signed with the Miami Dolphins. In 2013, his final NFL season, he signed with the Oakland Raiders.
