Tennessee Football put together some standout offensive numbers during the course of the 2025 regular season. There were question marks and mysteries heading into the year, considering the new talent that Tennessee was working with, but it all came together to create one of the most prolific offenses in the nation.
The key standout number was from the passing game. Tennessee was the only school in the country to post a trio of receivers that topped the 700-yard mark, with Chris Brazzell, Braylon Staley, and Mike Matthews. Considering the limited play that both Staley and Matthews had coming into the year, it’s impressive to see what they were able to accomplish during their first true year in the Vols’ offense.
With high-number receivers has to come a high-number quarterback, too. Tennessee picked up Joey Aguilar out of the post-spring transfer portal, and he won the job during fall camp. Aguilar finished the regular season with 3,444 passing yards, which is good for the fourth-best single-season in Tennessee history.

I do wish and hope we are able to keep both WRs from transferring out and Bishop. Along with our incoming QB, and Faizon appears to be the real deal. I’ve followed The Big Orange for over 50 years now. Been thru the ups and downs. I wished that the coaches would stop overthinking it sometimes. And we have got to get a little better on the dline.
