The USA Basketball Women’s National Team is holding its training camp, featuring two notable former Lady Vols basketball stars. The head coach of the team is former Tennessee player and current Duke head coach Kara Lawson. On the roster for the training camp is recent former Lady Vol Rickea Jackson.
Lawson played for Pat Summitt from 1999-2003. She was a four-time First-Team All-SEC member and a multi-time All-American. She would go on to be an All-Star in the WNBA before turning to coaching.
Jackson played at UT under Kellie Harper from 2022-24. She was a First-Team All-SEC player in both of those seasons before turning pro as a first-round pick to the LA Sparks. Jackson averaged 14.7 points per game this past season in the WNBA.
