Tennessee Basketball will return to action on Tuesday night after a week off in December. The Vols will return to Knoxville and play in the Food City Center for the first time since Nov. 20.
The Vols began the season with seven straight wins but have since dropped three in a row. Tennessee fell to Kansas in the third-place game of the Players Era Festival, lost to Syracuse on the road in the SEC/ACC Challenge, and fell to Illinois in the Music City Madness non-conference game from Nashville. The Vols will aim to bounce back with a win on Tuesday, but the opponent won’t make it easy. Tennessee is set to host No. 11 Louisville, a nine-win team with only one loss, on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Ahead of the game, Tennessee had head coach Rick Barnes and forward Jaylen Carey speak to the media on Monday morning. Both talked about what needs to happen for the Vols to win on Tuesday, moving forward without Cade Phillips after a season-ending surgery, translating practice habits to the game court, and much more.
No. 20 Tennessee will host No. 11 Louisville at 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday night in the Food City Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider for live coverage from the arena.
