Tennessee Basketball found its swagger on Tuesday night with a 21-point win over No. 11 Louisville. It was the Vols’ first game back in the Food City Center in nearly a month, and a little home cooking proved to be exactly what Tennessee needed to end a three-game losing skid.

Ja’Kobi Gillespie put up a game-high 23 points in the 83-62 win, with 20 of those points coming in the second half. He was slow to find his scoring in the first half, only making one bucket for the opening score, but turned on the jets in the final 20 minutes. Gillespie was the star player that the Vols needed.

Tennessee’s physicality and energy helped disrupt Louisville’s gameplan, especially in the second half. Even though the Cardinals were missing a top player due to a late-announced injury, the Vols still felt dominant with their aggression on the court.
