Tennessee Basketball is heading into the Christmas break with a 9-3 record after a 42-point win over Gardner-Webb on Sunday afternoon in Knoxville. The Vols followed up on their marquee win over Louisville early in the week by taking care of the Runnin’ Bulldogs in the Food City Center.

Tennessee won the game by a score of 94-52 thanks to a quartet of double-digit scoring performances. Guards Ja’Kobi Gillespie and Amaree Abram finished with 15 points each, Jaylen Carey added 12 points, and JP Estrella ended with 10 points. Freshman forward DeWayne Brown got his second straight start for the Vols and hauled in 14 total rebounds, which is the most by a Volunteer player this season.

The Vols looked a bit sluggish in the first few minutes, but quickly found their footing. Tennessee finished the game shooting 53.5% from the floor and 32.3% from the three-point line.
