Lady Vols basketball had one final tune-up game before SEC play arrives on New Year’s Day against Florida. On Monday, Dec. 22, Tennessee beat Southern Indiana 89-44 in Knoxville.
After the game, Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell and players Mia Pauldo and Alyssa Latham met with the media to give their thoughts during a press conference. They were asked about the upcoming start of the conference slate, the good and bad from the win over USI and more.
“I thought we played harder tonight,” Caldwell said in the press conference. “I thought we shared the ball better. I’m happy with 19 assists. We were not very efficient around the rim, but our three looked a little bit better in the second half. I thought we responded well after a difficult first half.”
Southern Indiana head coach Rick Stein and star guard Ali Saunders also met with the media to give their perspective on the matchup.
