Christmas is a time for family, friends and sometimes rivals to come together. This year, Tennessee and Ole Miss football fans can share their frustrations over the departure of Lane Kiffin as their head coach. For the Vols, they had to wait over a decade before he returned to town. For the Rebels, they’ll see him with his new school, LSU, next season.

In preparation for Kiffin’s return to Ole Miss, a Tennessee fan gave a hilarious gift to a family member and Rebels fan. ‘PermaBanned Grateful Reb‘ on X posted the present given to them by their Aunt.

The gift featured a bottle of mustard, a pack of golf balls, a water bottle and a shirt that said ‘FULK’. Attached was this note:

“Everything you’ll need on September 19, 2026, when that heaux Lane Kiffin slithers back into The Vaught like he didn’t burn every bridge in Oxford on his way out.”

The gift is a callback to when Kiffin returned to Tennessee during the 2021 season. With Vol fans feeling like they were getting the short end of the stick from the officiating, some took out their frustrations by throwing trash on the field. Amidst the debris were also a golf ball and a mustard bottle.

That was Kiffin’s first time returning as a head coach to Knoxville since leaving in the middle of the night after one season in 2009. You can read an exclusive and in-depth look at that night here.

Kiffin will return to Neyland Stadium in 2026 in his first season leading LSU. That game, which is the final home game of the regular season for UT, is scheduled for Nov. 21.

Kiffin will return to Oxford to play Ole Miss on Sept. 19, marking the first SEC game of the year for both teams.
