
Illinois head coach Bret Bielema met with the media on Monday afternoon in Nashville as he prepares the Fighting Illini for a meeting against the Tennessee Volunteers in the Music City Bowl on Tuesday evening. Bielema, in his fifth season with Illinois, led his team to an 8-4 record during the regular season. The Illini had key wins over Southern Cal and Duke, with notable losses to Indiana, Ohio State, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Bielema met with the media for about 10 minutes on Monday in Nashville, previewing the game against Josh Heupel’s Vols. He spoke about the experience in Nashville leading into the game, his admiration for Heupel, his previous relationship with William Inge, his thoughts on Tennessee’s team, and much more.
