Opening statement

“I think anytime you can turn the ball over 25 times on the road in the SEC and come out with a win, you should take it. We have a lot to clean up.”

On if Auburn did anything to force the turnovers

“I think when they’re in their gaps, and we force things and we over dribble, it’s going to lead to turnovers.”

On hitting threes to start the game

“It was huge for us. It really sparked us early. I knew we weren’t going to hit them consistently, but it was big to see some go in in the first quarter.”

On the biggest thing she wants to clean up in practice

“Over dribbling, making the easy pass, sharing the ball, not trying to get ours.”

On Auburn head coach Larry Vickers, his first team

“I think they’re athletic, I think they play fast, I think they’re going to fit really well into the SEC. I get being in your first year and trying to build something. It was my first time here, so you have a really good fan base, you have a really good campus, it’s obviously a great school and I think he’s going to do good things here.”

On Auburn’s 7-0 run in the second quarter, responding with a 10-2 run

“I thought we did a better job staying together. We always have runs in us. We just have to stay locked in and do it.”

On forward Alyssa Latham not playing

“She had injured her shoulder in practice before. She was cleared to play, but chose not to. Hopefully, we can get her back soon. We definitely missed her today.”

On shooting the least amount of threes this game all year

“We talked about when you go on the road in the SEC, you have to get to the rim. We knew in transition, they were gonna try to press us. We had easy looks at three and we really wanted to put some pressure on the rim on the road. And I think that’s going to be important for us going forward.”
