Former Tennessee football offensive tackle Bennett Warren has found his new school. After entering the transfer portal this cycle, Warren has signed with Minnesota inside the Big Ten, according to On3.

Warren was a backup offensive tackle for Tennessee last season. He played 76 total offensive snaps over the course of five games, where he earned a 52.8 PFF grade. He played a season-high 41 snaps against ETSU, while his only SEC action came in six snaps against Alabama and one snap against Florida.

Warren was typically the first tackle off the bench for the Vols. When fully healthy, Lance Heard started at left tackle while David Sanders Jr. was on the right side. Though Jesse Perry played right tackle while Sanders was out to start the year, once Sanders returned, Perry did not move back out and stayed at guard.

Warren was a major win for Tennessee on the recruiting trail in the 2024 recruiting cycle, committing to the Vols over Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. The Sugar Land, Texas native ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 140 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings.

Now, Tennessee is figuring out how it is going to piece together its offensive line for the 2026 season. The Vols return a heap of starters, including Sanders and Perry, along with guard Wendell Moe Jr., center Sam Pendleton and guard Sham Umarov. The starter that needs to be replaced is Heard, as he entered the transfer portal once it opened this week.

Tennessee could opt to mix-and-match those five to make a starting group, but it has also been tied to and is hosting offensive linemen at both the tackle and guard spots this cycle.
