What Kim Caldwell Said About Auburn
“We have to play well on the road. I think it’s a tough place to play. I’ve never been there, so again, we’re all still kind of learning, but from what we’ve talked about as a staff going into that game, it’s a game where they get somebody every year. Again, they’re a new team, they’re learning. It’s going to be a similar game like tonight, where we have to be consistent and we have to play well and we have to show that we can play well on the road.”

Prediction
The Lady Vols should be able to run away with this one. As Tennessee did in the second quarter against Auburn, the talent gap should result in a sizable lead whenever UT wants to open it up. The question is if the Lady Vols will let it all slip away like they did against the Gators, or if they can keep their foot on their throat.
This time, I’ll lean toward Tennessee keeping the focus where it needs to be and taking a large lead into the half. From there, the Lady Vols should have a comfortable second half where they earn an always tough SEC road win.
Look for Talaysia Cooper to pick up where she left off, as well, as a scorer and playmaker. The other player that would be a great addition to the offensive onslaught would be Janiah Barker. After a great start, she has begun to cool off. This would be a great game for her to get back in the mix.
Lady Vols 88, Auburn 62
