Tennessee football is losing another offensive lineman to the transfer portal this cycle. Vols backup center William Satterwhite is exiting the program after just two seasons, according to On3.
Satterwhite was in a center competition with Sam Pendleton ahead of the season, but lost to the incoming Notre Dame transfer. He would only see the field in a reserve role after a rare injury or late in blowouts.
Satterwhite played in eight games this past season, none of which were starts. He ended the year with a PFF grade of 48.9 over the course of 137 snaps.
The reserve center got SEC action against Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky and Florida. The most snaps between that quartet of games were 19 against the Razorbacks, in which he had a grade of 58.

Satterwhite will now have three years of eligibility to use at his new school. He could be a relatively highly sought-after transfer target on the market, as well, given his experience at a young age.
Satterwhite was a four-star recruit on 247, Rivals and ESPN out of Barberton, Ohio. He went to Archbishop Hoban High School, the same school that former Vols defensive lineman Latroy Lewis went to.
Tennessee is likely to return Pendleton as the starting center, but the spot behind him is now up for grabs. The most likely option is that Nic Moore, a second-year and in-state player, would take over the role with Satterwhite and Max Anderson headed to the portal.
