Lady Vols basketball is now 2-0 in SEC play after a home win against Florida, and most recently, a road 73-56 victory over Auburn. After the win over the Tigers on The Plains, Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell and point guard Mia Pauldo met with the media to give their thoughts.
The Lady Vols got off to a strong start, taking a 15-point lead in the second quarter. However, Tennessee began to let it slip away as it did against the Gators, before rebounding and going into the half with a strong lead. UT built on it in the third and fourth quarters, as well, to leave with a comfortable win over an SEC foe.
Pauldo produced eight points on 2-for-6 shooting from the field. Each of her attempts came from beyond the arch, as well. She also contributed three assists, two rebounds and turned the ball over three times.
