Tennessee football now owns four commitments from Penn State transfers. On Saturday, edge rusher Chaz Coleman and safety Dejuan Lane joined defensive lineman Xavier Gilliam and linebacker Amare Campbell in the boat.
That might not be it for the emerging Happy Valley to Knoxville pipeline that has emerged since the hiring of defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and other assistants.
After committing, Lane set his aim on two more former PSU teammates who are in the transfer portal. The first was defensive tackle Enai White. He played three years at Texas A&M before playing for the Nittany Lions last season.
White managed three tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in eight games in 2025. PFF gave him a 71.5 mark over the course of 60 snaps on the year.
Out of high school, White was one of the top players in the country. He was considered the No. 38 overall recruit in the country on 247.
Tennessee has already added Gilliam to the interior of its defensive line, but may look to strengthen the group. There isn’t much remaining experience from a year ago, and Rodney Garner has liked to have a deep rotation.

The next target was on the offensive side of the ball. Tikey Hayes, a running back, just finished his true freshman season. He managed 18 yards on three carries over the course of the year.
Hayes was a four-star recruit, according to 247 Composite. He ranked as the No. 429 player in the class and No. 32 running back.
While Hayes hasn’t been productive yet, Tennessee is in need of adding to its running back room. So far, the Vols have returners DeSean Bishop, Daune Morris and Justin Baker still on the roster. UT has been looking at adding more talent through the transfer portal, though.
