The transfer portal is rightfully taking all the headlines, but that doesn’t stop the non-stop recruiting battles for high school athletes. On Friday, one of the top offensive line recruits in the country cut down his list to nine schools, including Tennessee.
Jordan Agbanoma listed the Vols, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Nebraska and Texas A&M as his top nine, according to On3.
Agbanoma is an interior offensive lineman out of Loganville, Georgia. 247 considers him the No. 77 player in the 2027 class, No. 5 interior lineman and No. 9 player from Georgia.

Agbanoma has gotten to campus to see Tennessee once so far. He was in town for the Vols’ game against New Mexico State this past November. He picked up his offer from UT back in May of 2025, as well.
So far, Tennessee has four commitments in the 2027 class. This includes an elite offensive tackle, four-star Princeton Uwaifo, who ranks as the No. 111 player in the class on 247. He is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Other commits are three-stars defensive lineman Kadin Fife, defensive back Kamauri Whitfield and linebacker JP Peace. Whitfield recently visited Florida, and the Gators are pushing for a flip, though.
The recent 2026 recruiting class treated Tennessee well. The Vols finished with a top-five group in the country via 247, including the signing of three five-star recruits. This featured quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tristen Keys and offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda.
Other top-100 recruits on 247 that signed include linebacker TJ White, athlete Joel Wyatt, linebacker Brayden Rouse and edge rusher Carter Gooden.
