
Tulane transfer edge rusher Jordan Norman committed to Tennessee football Monday night, On3’s Hayes Fawcett first reported. Norman chose Josh Heupel and the Vols over Colorado, Florida and South Carolina.
Norman spent the first two years of his college career at South Alabama before transferring to Tulane ahead of his junior season. After middling success in two years with the Jaguars, Norman had a breakout 2025 season at Tulane.
The Hoover, Alabama native totaled 28 tackles and six sacks last season while helping leading Tulane to the American Championship and a birth in the College Football Playoffs. Norman totaled 24 quarterback pressures during the 2025 season according to PFF.
Norman earned a 71.9 PFF grade in 447 total snaps during his junior season. His grades were balanced across the board with his best being his 73.5 pass rush grade.

Tennessee is in desperate need of adding edge rushers to its roster through the transfer portal this offseason. The Vols lost Josh Josephs to the NFL Draft as well as backups Caleb Herring and Jordan Ross to the transfer portal. Ross committed to LSU on Friday after spending just a few days in the transfer portal.
Norman is the second LEO to commit to Tennessee football along with Penn State edge rusher Chaz Coleman. Alabama edge rusher Qua Russaw committed to Ohio State over Tennessee and Notre Dame earlier Monday
Tennessee has landed 11 players in the transfer portal to date. That group includes Coleman, Penn State inside linebacker Amare Campbell, Penn State safety Dejuan Lane, Penn State defensive tackle Xavier Gilliam, Kansas State nickelback Qua Moss, LSU offensive tackle Ory Williams, Auburn cornerback Kayin Lee, Oklahoma State receiver Gavin Freeman, Louisville kicker Cooper Ranvier and Eastern Kentucky linebacker/long snapper Blake Howard.
