Lady Vols basketball is off to a 4-0 start to the SEC slate, including a pair of wins over Mississippi State and Arkansas this past week. Now, the AP Poll has updated to reflect this slate of games from the recent week of action.

In the updated poll, Tennessee remains at No. 20 in the country. This is good for eighth in the SEC. Ahead of the Lady Vols are No. 2 South Carolina, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 6 LSU, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 16 Ole Miss.

Other top teams in the country include No. 1 UConn and No. 3 UCLA. Tennessee plays both of those teams this season, along with No. 9 Louisville.

Most recently, Kim Cadlwell’s squad dominated Arkansas in an 85-50 win at home. Tennessee took care of the ball and had a strong offensive attack to leave the Razorbacks in the dust. This came despite missing both Talaysia Cooper and Kaniya Boyd for the game.

“I thought we had a lot of players step up in absence of a few others and then some sickness going around,” Caldwell said. “So, I was really proud of our young ones, proud of everyone for giving us a little bit more. It’s what we challenged them to do in the locker room. Still having some things to work on. Our turnovers were better. Have to box out, have to win the rebounds.”

Next, the Lady Vols will have an off date on Thursday before traveling to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and will air on the SEC Network.

The Crimson Tide are slotted as the No. 21 team in the country this week, making it a top-25 showdown.
