As time winds down in the 2026 recruiting cycle, ESPN released its final update to its 2026 recruiting rankings on Thursday. The list features two Tennessee signees in the Top 15 and 13 UT signees in the Top 300 overall.
Josh Heupel’s 2026 group has 27 signees with two more committed players waiting to sign. Tennessee’s class holds the No. 8 ranking on Rivals’ recruiting services and the No. 10 class in 247Sports’ system. ESPN has Tennessee at No. 8 in its team list, but it hasn’t been updated since Dec. 18. The other two are actively updated.
The time for ratings and rankings is essentially over. Tennessee has 24 of its 27 signees on campus as early enrollees and going through winter workouts. Once you step out of the recruiting sphere and onto the gridiron, the rankings go out the window.
