No. 25 Tennessee defeated Ole Miss by a score of 84-66 on Tuesday night in Knoxville behind UT freshman Nate Ament’s 28 points. The Volunteers picked up their fourth straight win in SEC play with the victory.

With Tennessee pulling away in the second half, Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard was ejected from the game with 6:15 remaining in the contest. Beard stormed the court during play, visibly upset with a no-call on what he believed to be a foul on his player. His actions resulted in a pair of technical fouls, which removed him from the contest for the final six minutes. His first foul came from storming the court during ongoing play, and his second foul came from arguing with the officials.

After the game, Beard spoke to the media for about four minutes. He explained his perspective on the ejection, his frustration with the foul discrepancy (34 FTAs for UT, 21 FTAs for OM), his thoughts on Tennessee wing Nate Ament, and more.
