
Lady Vols basketball played its third-straight road game on Sunday, but fell well short at South Carolina. Tennessee’s 93-50 loss was the worst margin of defeat in program history.
After the game, Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell and Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley met with the media. Caldwell was asked about why things get as bad as they do, what she said to the team and more.
“We just had a lot of quit in us tonight and that’s been something that’s been consistent with our team is we’re not comfortable and things don’t go our way and I have a team that’ll just quit on you and you can’t do that in big games,” Caldwell said. “You can’t do that anytime in the SEC, but you certainly can’t do that at a program like this.”
