An Alabama football commit has scheduled an official visit with Tennessee football. Three-star cornerback Nash Johnson III plans on officially visiting Tennessee football on June 12, Rivals’ Chad Simmons first reported on Tuesday morning.

It’s one of three visits that Johnson has scheduled. The 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback also has summer official visits scheduled to Auburn and Miami. The Tigers have some buzz in Johnson’s recruitment after hosting him on a Junior Day visit last month.

Johnson ranks as a three-star recruit and the No. 540 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. He also ranks as the No. 54 cornerback and the No. 62 player in the state of Georgia in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

A Powder Springs, Georgia native, Johnson helped lead McEachern to a 10-1 record during his junior season. The Indians started 10-0 before Walton upset them 28-24 in the Georgia 6A playoffs. While Johnson is a three-star recruit, a number of top programs are pursuing him including Ohio State who recently offered him a scholarship.

Tennessee offered Johnson back in October but has yet to take a visit to Knoxville. The Vols are looking to get him in for an unofficial visit this spring to make themselves a serious player in his recruitment ahead of his summer official visit.

The Vols 2027 recruiting class currently contains four commitments including from one cornerback— three-star Florida native Kamauri Whitfield. Tennessee’s other commits include an offensive tackle, a defensive lineman and an inside linebacker.
