After dropping Saturday night’s game to Kentucky in Lexington, Tennessee Basketball will return to the court on Wednesday night for a second-straight road conference game against Mississippi State in Starkville. The Volunteers entered Saturday’s loss with a four-game win streak and will now look to go on another run as it aims to bounce back from the weekend defeat. Tennessee is 16-7 and 6-4 in the SEC entering Wednesday’s game, while Mississippi State is 11-12 overall with a 3-7 record in conference play.
With Tennessee in Knoxville and working on preparations for the game, UT assistant coach Steve McClain and guard Amaree Abram spent a few moments speaking with the media on Tuesday morning. Both men gave their reactions and takeaways from the Kentucky loss on Saturday while previewing the Mississippi State game. McClain also talked about Nate Ament’s growth this season, while Abram updated his status after being sick with the flu last week.
Mississippi State will host Tennessee at 9:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday night in Starkville, MS.
