Tennessee Basketball moved to 18-7 overall and 8-4 in the SEC with a 73-63 win over LSU on Saturday night in Knoxville. The Vols got out to a great jump from the opening gates, but LSU fought back late in the first half and early in the second. The Tigers continued to make a push in the final 20 minutes, but Tennessee regained control of things and closed the game on a 7-2 run to pick up the victory.
UT freshman Nate Ament led all scorers in the game with 22 points and nine rebounds. Tennessee forward JP Estrella put up 16 points while also grabbing nine boards in the game. Tennessee guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie was the third and final double-digit scorer for the Vols with 12 on the night.
