Lady Vols basketball split their games this past week, both played at home. First, Tennessee beat Missouri in dominant fashion before narrowly falling to a top-five Texas team on Sunday.
As a result, the updated AP Poll has moved the Lady Vols up one spot to No. 21 in the country. This moved UT just ahead of North Carolina with the teams trading spots.
This places Tennessee eighth in the SEC. The Lady Vols are behind No. 3 South Carolina, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 7 LSU, No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 16 Kentucky and No. 17 Ole Miss.

The Lady Vols have a busy week on the horizon. The previously rescheduled Ole Miss game now lands on Tuesday in Oxford. That will tip off at 7 p.m. ET and air on ESPNU. Then, Tennessee will host Texas A&M on Thursday before playing at Oklahoma on Sunday.
“We’re not going to be able to do much (Monday),” Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell said after losing to Texas. “I mean, they played hard today. We had people play a lot of minutes, especially for how we play. And so they’re going to be sore. We’re going to have to get the basics in, get what we need in, the scout-specific things, and then get on the road, and they’re going to be tired, too.”
The Lady Vols will be looking to add a key piece back to the rotation, as well, when it heads to Oxford. Mia Pauldo, a star freshman point guard, missed the previous two games with a concussion. Caldwell did not have a firm update on Pauldo after both games this week.
However, Pauldo did confirm that the injury was suffered during the loss to South Carolina last Sunday and not in an ensuing practice leading up to the win over Missouri.
