
Tennessee Basketball picked up its 20th win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a huge win over SEC rival Vanderbilt in Nashville. The Vols defeated the Commodores by a score of 69-65 behind Ja’Kobi Gillespie’s team-high 17 points and some big-time moments from the Vols’ role players.
The Vols fought through some big Vanderbilt runs and made some runs of their own, but ultimately got to the finish line ahead of the Commodores. In total, there were 20 lead changes and seven ties during the 40-minute game from Memorial Gymnasium.

For the 5th straight season, Tennessee men’s basketball have won 20 or more games. That ties the program record for most consecutive 20-win seasons.
More than anything, Rick Barnes has brought consistency to a program that had very little of that for many decades.
