Tennessee baseball was the subject of viral moment this weekend when a mishap with a grill on the left field porches led to smoke billowing at a high-level. While there was no fire, it gave the illusion of one and led to many comedic remarks on social media.
Naturally, Lane Kiffin didn’t pass up an opportunity to troll Tennessee. He quote tweeted the video with the face palm emoji on Sunday night.

Kiffin rarely passes up an opportunity to poke at a rival and that’s especially the case for Tennessee. Just two days ago, the 50-year old LSU head coach commented on a judge denying Joey Aguilar’s request for a preliminary injunction and with it an extra-year of eligibility.

On his X account, Kiffin posted in response to the Aguilar news: “When you don’t get (Tom Mars) involved …….”
It was a bad weekend for Tennessee baseball. After Tyler Myatt hit a walk-off home run on Friday night, the Vols dropped the next two games of their weekend series against Kent State. It was the first series loss of Josh Elander’s tenure and the first non conference series loss since Tennessee dropped two out of three games against Kent State in 2020.
Kiffin is entering his first season as LSU’s head coach. The Tigers come to Neyland Stadium to face Tennessee on Nov. 21 for the penultimate game of the 2026 regular season.
