Four-Star Defensive Lineman Schedules Spring Visit With Tennessee Football

Four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks cut his list of contenders to eight schools including Tennessee football on Thursday, 247sports’ Tom Loy first reported. Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, Ohio State and Oregon joined the Vols in Parks’ top group.

Parks is taking an unofficial visit to Tennessee football on March 30-31 as the Vols go through spring practice. He has visits scheduled to every school in his top eight including Illinois. The trip to Knoxville is the third of his seven scheduled.

A Chicago native, Parks ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 161 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. He also ranks as the No. 19 defensive lineman in the 2027 recruiting cycle. 247sports own rankings are even higher on Parks, ranking him as the No. 121 player in the 2027 cycle.

Parks attends Brother Rice High School in Chicago where he helped lead the Crusaders to a 13-1 record during his junior season.

Tennessee football’s 2027 recruiting class currently contains four commitments including from three-star defensive lineman Kaden Fife. The Vols’ other commits come from four-star offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, three-star linebacker JP Peace and three-star quarterback Derrick Baker.

The Vols’ four-commit 2027 recruiting class currently ranks No. 20 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
