Tennessee Baseball vs. Missouri Game Two Delayed Due to Weather

First pitch of game two between Tennessee baseball and Missouri has been delayed to 7 p.m. ET.

The game was initially slated to begin at 6 p.m. ET inside Lindsey Nelson Stadium, but a pop-up storm pushed the first-pitch time has been pushed back an hour.

Tennessee is looking to even the series Saturday after an 8-4 series-opening loss Friday. Tegan Kuhns wasn’t himself in 3.0 innings, allowing four runs on six hits. Kuhns tossed 70 pitches.

Brady Frederick and Brandon Arvidson also gave up back-breaking hits out of the bullpen, and the offense stranded 11 on base. In total, the Vols went 3-14 with runners on and 2-10 with runners in scoring position.

“We’re gonna see what we got,” Tennessee head coach Josh Elander said when asked how he expects to see his team respond from Friday’s loss on Saturday. “At this point, we won a game last Friday night but didn’t finish the weekend. They had it close, two-run game, had a chance to win it, but we’re going to find out what we got.

“This is a good test. We’re at home on our home turf. Our crowd was amazing tonight, and we need to perform better for them. This is an amazing facility that’s been built. But, Saturday at home, 6 o’clock, Lindsey Nelson Stadium, and then you got a quick turnaround on Sunday. So, we’ll find out what we got these next two days.”
