Tennessee Basketball and head coach Rick Barnes are dancing to the Sweet 16 next week in Chicago, IL. The Vols advanced to the second weekend of the tournament with a 79-72 win over 3-seed Virginia on Sunday night, capping off a 2-0 weekend in the City of Brotherly Love. Tennessee previously clobbered Miami (OH) to get to Sunday’s game last Friday.
The Vols will take on 2-seed Iowa State at 10:10 p.m. ET next Friday night.
After the game, Tennessee and Virginia both held postgame press conferences in Xfinity Mobile Arena. Tennessee’s consisted of Rick Barnes, Ja’Kobi Gillespie, Nate Ament, and Bishop Boswell, while Virginia’s featured head coach Ryan Odom, Dallin Hall, and Thijs De Ridder.
