Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton had some fun on social media at the expense of Kentucky Basketball and its former players on Sunday.
After the Wildcats’ second-round loss to 2-seed Iowa State, Haliburton took a shot at Kentucky and the allegiance of its former players. His tweet pokes fun at Kentucky’s former players who have seemingly taken an interest in Arkansas since John Calipari, their head coach at UK, took the job with the Razorbacks before the 2024-2025 season.
Haliburton played for the Cyclones from 2018-2020.
“Went to text the guys who played at Kentucky about this game and forgot they think they Arkansas alum now,” Haliburton posted with a crying laughing emoji.

More From RTI: Tennessee Has Now Outpaced Kentucky in Six Straight NCAA Tournaments
One of the more recent and viral instances of this comes from former UK guard Reed Sheppard, who wore a split outfit before an NBA game in February 2025. It consisted of an Arkansas Basketball shirt and Kentucky Basketball shorts. Sheppard did not spend any time at Arkansas during his collegiate career and was simply making a supportive gesture to his former coach’s new team.
The attire garnered quite a bit of criticism from Kentucky fans online, considering that it came before an Arkansas-Kentucky SEC matchup. Arkansas trolled Kentucky online by posting the picture from Sheppard’s Houston Rockets walk-in.

Kentucky Basketball’s NCAA Tournament run came to a close after just two games this past weekend. The 7-seed Wildcats started things off with an overtime win against 10-seed Santa Clara on Friday before a beatdown at the hands of 2-seed Iowa State on Sunday.
Kentucky’s loss and Tennessee’s win on Sunday mark the sixth straight NCAA Tournament that the Vols have outlasted the Wildcats. That also includes a Tennessee head-to-head win over Kentucky in the Sweet 16 last season.
