Tennessee football is six practices into the spring session ahead of the 2026 season. Ahead of Thursday’s scrimmage, Vols linebackers coach William Inge met with the media to give his thoughts on where his unit is at.
Inge was asked about Arion Carter missing time, his highly-ranked freshmen, working with new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and more.
Inge is responsible for one of the deepest position groups on the team. At the top, Arion Carter and Edwin Spillman return after extremely productive seasons. Behind them, Jeremiah Telander, Jadon Perlotte, Jordan Burns, Jaedon Harmon and more also come back. UT brought in Penn State transfer Amare Campbell and freshmen Brayden Rouse and TJ White, as well.
Knowles has said in previous press conferences that the linebacker room is the closest on the team, too. It’s easy to see why when watching Inge interact with the group and his personality during pressers.
