The tipoff time and broadcast details are set for Tennessee basketball’s matchup against Michigan in the Elite Eight. Tipoff is at 2:15 p.m. ET from the United Center in Chicago. Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas and Evan Washburn are on the call for CBS.
Tennessee is back in the Elite Eight for a third straight season after knocking off two-seed Iowa State 76-62 on Friday night. The game was tight throughout the first half before Tennessee opened the second half on a 20-8 run to take control of the game and never look back.
The Vols got strong contributions up-and-down their roster with Ja’Kobi Gillespie, Nate Ament, Felix Okpara and Jaylen Carey all scoring in double figures. Bishop Boswell also dished out eight assists while turning it over just once.
Rick Barnes’ 11th Tennessee team also did a stellar job defending Iowa State star Milan Momcilovic, holding the nation’s best shooter to just six points on two-for-nine shooting from deep.

Michigan is back in the Elite Eight for a second straight season under head coach Dusty May. One of the best teams in the country all season, the Wolverines defeated four-seed Alabama 90-77 in Friday night’s Sweet 16 matchup.
The one-seed in the Midwest Region, Michigan enters the Elite Eight with a 34-3 (19-1 Big 10) record. The Wolverines three losses this season came against Wisconsin, Duke and Purdue.
Tennessee has a non too friendly NCAA Tournament history against Michigan. The Vols lost to Michigan in the opening round of the 2009 tournament, in the Sweet 16 of the 2014 tournament and in the Round of 32 of the 2022 tournament.
Michigan opened as 7.5-point favorites over Tennessee according to the DKSportsbook. The over/under is set at 146.5. KenPom predicts Michigan to earn a 77-70 victory. BartTorvik predicts Michigan to earn a 77-71 victory.
