The road to the NFL runs through Knoxville, TN, on Tuesday as Tennessee Football hosts its annual Pro Day event for a handful of its former players. Pro Day is an event in which Tennessee’s players can go through workouts and drills in front of NFL coaches and scouts right on their home-field turf on campus.
Some of Tennessee’s NFL hopefuls have already been participating in offseason events such as the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine, but pro day opens things up to any former Volunteer looking to make an impression for NFL brass at the next level.
Tennessee has announced 14 former players for its pro day event on Tuesday:
- QB Joey Aguilar
- DL Dominic Bailey
- WR Chris Brazzell II
- DL Bryson Eason

More From RTI: Kelsey Pope Explains Role as Tennessee Football’s Passing Game Coordinator
The biggest story on the field on Tuesday will be the performance from Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy, who missed the entire 2025 season with an ACL injury. McCoy hasn’t been seen on the field since the Vols’ College Football Playoff loss to Ohio State in 2024 and declined to work out in front of scouts during the NFL Combine early in March. He opted to save his on-field work for Tennessee Pro Day so that he could be fully prepared and dictate what is being seen by scouts and teams.
McCoy’s pro day workout could prove to be the difference between him going in the Top 12 of the draft or potentially falling to a later first-round pick.
We’ll see all sorts of drills on campus, from standard activities like the 40-yard dash to more complex things like routes on air. The entire event will give each of Tennessee’s representatives a chance to show scouts what they can do on the field.
ESPN’s Matt Miller put together a full seven-round mock draft on Monday morning, with five Tennessee players making the cut. Miller has McCoy going 12th overall to the Dallas Cowboys, Hood going 30th to the Miami Dolphins, Brazzell going 99th to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Josephs going 141st to the Houston Texans, and Eason going 201st to the Green Bay Packers.
