Tennessee football was back at practice on Tuesday morning for No. 10 of 15 in the spring slate. The Vols have a closed scrimmage, three practices and the annual Orange & White Game left before heading into the summer.

On Tuesday, it was the usual dose of action. Quarterbacks, under the watch of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joey Halzle, were back at work as the competition for the starting job rages on.

The biggest change was the addition of Rodney Garner. The defensive line coach missed the front portion of spring ball due to a procedure, but was back and getting after his unit.

“I think they’ve handled it well,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said about practicing without Garner last week. “They still got Rodney’s voice loud and clear in the meeting room for sure. Excited to get Rodney back here, hopefully pretty quickly here as he comes off the backside of this.”
