Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy put himself in a great position for the NFL Draft with his 40-yard dash time at Tennessee Pro Day on Tuesday.
McCoy ran through the drill one time and posted a 4.38-second time, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He did not attempt a second try.

In addition to his 40-yard dash time, McCoy also posted a 38-inch vertical jump and a 10-feet, 7-inch broad jump, according to Schefter.
After a stellar 2024 season with Tennessee, McCoy tore his ACL in January 2025. He did not see the field during the 2025 season as he was sidelined with injury. Questions remained about McCoy’s ability when he returned to the field, but his impressive 2024 tape kept him as a longtime projected first-round pick.
McCoy did not participate in any on-field drills during the 2026 NFL Combine. He told reporters in Indianapolis that he was waiting until Tennessee Pro Day a few weeks later so that he could put his best foot forward. McCoy did that with his 4.38 40-yard dash time on Tuesday afternoon.
